Our Story

Local connections and great cuisine are what bring tourists and locals in the doors of Viera On Main. The owners, Ben & Angie Porter, use fresh, locally-sourced ingredients to support their community while giving customers the best seasonal flavors Cape Cod had to offer.

Ben grew up on Cape Cod and has family roots that go back generations. He comes from a long line of scallop fishermen and he still spends significant time fishing, accompanied by his three young boys.

At the restaurant, Ben gravitates to the kitchen. For him, cooking and creating never felt like work—which you’ll notice in the curated menu and creative dishes at Viera on Main. Ben and his wife, Angie, previously owned Viera in Harwich.

We’re bringing you everything that you loved about Bistro on Main with an updated menu and fresh faces. At Viera On Main, we’ll continue to be downtown Chatham’s neighborhood restaurant, supporting local fishermen and farmers to provide you with fresh, flavorful ingredients.
